June 29, Thursday, Spanish player Rafael Nadal showed his composure by surviving a possible upset in the 2nd round of Wimbledon 2006. Down by 2 sets Nadal fought back to take the following 3 sets to win against little-known qualifier Robert Kendrick of USA. After 3 hours and 41 minutes the score was 6-7 (4-7), 3-6, 7-6 (7-2), 7-5, 6-4. Many considered this as the first classic game in this Championship.
On center court Agassi delights the crowd with his easy victory against Andreas Seppi 6-4, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 and through to the third round.
